***NEWS UPDATE!!!***
June 25, 2020
Spirit of Life Bible Church members and friends, covid-19 has posed several challenges for the church. We met each challenge, by God’s grace, continuing to meet and serve the
Lord as did several other churches in the area.
After we were shut out of our building in mid-March,
but God opened another door for services at Lutheran High School.
The city of La Verne handed down orders to shutter all schools,
public and private. Not to be deterred,
services continued in the backyard of the
Knott’s home in Alta Loma.
We have been contacted by Lutheran High School and informed
that services could reconvene, effective immediately.
What a blessing, as the high school gym provides adequate space
to ensure more than six feet between each other. We will provide
masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer for those that need them.
We look forward to you joining us this Sunday June 28th, 2020.
Services will begin promptly at 11:00am. We welcome our internet
family and friends on Facebook and Instagram.
Lutheran High School is located at:
3960 Fruit Street, La Verne, CA, 91750.

WHEN NOTHING SEEMS TO MAKE ANY SENSE
Are there times that you find yourself looking out the window and thinking about what is happening in the world around us? We are witnessing unprecedented rioting, looting, vandalism; businesses are going bankrupt, and anger that is spiraling out of control. You may say to yourself, “Lord, where are you”? Habakkuk 1:2-3 says, “How long, LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save? Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.” It makes no sense.
But, when things get tough, that is when we need God most. That is when we must work as hard as possible to stick by Him, to maintain our faith and trust God’s reasons. Faith in God brings comfort and cheer, even amid stress, and crushing difficulties. Faith is what helps us trust God in difficult times.
Paul tells us in 2 Timothy 3:1, and realizes this, that in the last day’s difficult times will come. Beloved, we are living in those difficult times. That means our faith, prayers, and perseverance play an integral part in overcoming the difficult days that we are living in.
Do not be dismayed, one of two things will happen. The Lord will come for His church, or He will supply us with all the spiritual necessities to endure these difficult times.
Blessing to you,
Chap….
